I loved this book so much as a child that I stole my mother's copy and, then, left it out in the rain! I have since replaced it with an old collectible volume. Now you can enjoy East of the Sun and West of the Moon in beautiful reproduction, with excellent prints and fantastic acid-free paper, for only 30 dollars. Wow. Don't tell Mom.

Publisher Comments:

These Scandinavian fairy tales have had many interpretations through the years, but never have they been so beautifully illustrated as in this sumptuous edition. Golden Age artist Kay Nielsen, a master of fantasy, lavished the text with 25 intricately detailed color and numerous black-and-white images that glow with his phantasmagorical style. With 15 stories that include the popular "Billy Goat's Gruff," this is one of the most stunning children's books ever produced.
