About the Author

Kathy Shaidle has been publishing poetry, fiction, essays and reviews since 1984. Her work has appeared in Seventeen, The London Free Press, America, The Catholic New Times and Anthologies. She is currently a columnist for the Sunday Toronto Star's "Body and Soul" section. She has won five awards including Best National columnist and Most Outstanding Writer. She was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythamatosis (SLE) in 1991.
