About the Author

About the Authors A resident of the Big Island, Jeanette Foster has skied the slopes of Mauna Kea—during a Fourth of July ski meet, no less—and scuba dived with manta rays off the Kona Coast. A prolific writer widely published in travel, sports, and adventure magazines, she's also a contributing editor to Hawaii magazine. Kauai-born Jocelyn Fujii, a resident of Honolulu, is one of Hawaii's leading journalists. She has authored Under the Hula Moon: Living in Hawaii and The Best of Hawaii, as well as articles for the New York Times, National Geographic Traveler, Islands, Condé Nast Traveler, Travel Holiday, and other national and international publications. She is a contributing editor to Spirit of Aloha magazine and a columnist for Hawaii Westways. In addition to this guide, Jeanette and Jocelyn are the coauthors of Frommer's Hawaii from $60 a Day, Frommer's Honolulu, Waikiki & Oahu, Frommer's Portable The Big Island of Hawaii, and Frommer's Maui.
