Publisher Comments:

One year ago, Sarah Palin burst onto the national political stage like a comet. Yet even now, few Americans know who this remarkable woman really is.

As chief executive of America's largest state, Sarah Palin had built a record as a reformer who pushed through changes other politicians only talked about: Energy independence. Ethics reform. And the biggest private sector energy infrastructure project in U.S. history. She was also a Main Street American woman: a working mom, wife of a blue-collar union man, and mother of five children.

In this eagerly anticipated memoir, Palin paints an intimate portrait of growing up in the wilds of Alaska; meeting her lifelong love; her decision to enter politics; the importance of faith and family; and the unique joys and trials of life as a high-profile working mother. She also opens up for the first time about the 2008 presidential race, providing a rare, mom's-eye view of high-stakes national politics—from patriots dedicated to "Country First" to slick politicos bent on winning at any cost.

Going Rogue traces one ordinary citizen's extraordinary journey, and imparts Palin's vision of a way forward for America and her unfailing hope in the greatest nation on earth.

Synopsis:

Going Rogue is the #1 New York Times bestselling memoir from Sarah Palin, one of Americas most beloved and controversial political figures. Now with new material, Going Rogue offers plain talk from a true American original about her life, her career, and the future of the country she loves.

About the Author

Sarah Palin is the former Governor of Alaska, and the author of the #1 New York Times bestselling memoir, Going Rogue, published in November 2009. She grew up in Alaska, where she and her future husband, Todd Palin, graduated from Wasilla High School in 1982. Palin graduated from the School of Journalism at the University of Idaho. She served two terms on the Wasilla City Council, two terms as the citys mayor and manager, and was elected by her peers as president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors. She then chaired the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, and the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission. Palin was elected Alaskas youngest, and first female governor, serving from 2006 to 2009. While governor, she was tapped as Senator John McCains running mate in 2008, becoming the first female Republican vice presidential candidate in our nations history.

The Palins reside in Wasilla with their five children and two grandchildren. They enjoy an extended family throughout Alaska and the Lower 48.

Go Sarah, January 1, 2010 (view all comments by Go Sarah)
This book is packed full of her experiences and her accomplishments in her 25 years as a public servant. A must read for all. Read up on her life-long public accomplishments and see how the media lies about her. See how her main policies are ENERGY, THE ENVIRONMENT, AND FOREIGN AFFAIRS. Read how she is NOT a religious extremist and how she is more for the little people of all persuasions. She will not legislate personal choices. Find proof this extraordinary politician is for the people and against government corruption. Find out for sure that she walks her talk and does not lie. She is for the constitution all the way. Buy a few copies for your friends. All party members need to read this book. This is one tough cookie. Don't tread on her.
