Under the tutelage of Shigeru, he learns that he too possesses the skills of the Tribe, and with this knowledge he embarks on a journey that will lead him across the nightingale floor and to his destiny within the walls of lnuyama. Overcome by the intensity of first love and conflicted by split loyalties and his own divided nature, Takeo realizes that he must make his own way on this journey of revenge and treachery, honor and loyalty, betrayal and love.

This is a delightful story that is perfect for travel and great for almost any age. The books are small so get the next in the series or you'll be dancing in your seat wondering what comes next.

I bought this book to have something quick and simple to read while waiting in traffic (which I do a lot of ). I was pleasantly surprised to find that this is a truly wonderful book. The main characters are introduced slowly, and therefore your affection for them builds as you read through the books. The stories themselves are entertaining, yet never farcical. The settings are beautiful, the heroes are noble, the heroines find great power, and end the end you can't wait to read the next one.
