Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

“Its time for bed, little cat, little cat / So snuggle in tight, thats right, like that.” This 1993 bedtime favorite from the Australian author Mem Fox and the illustrator Jane Dyer is now available in this small, square board book edition. Even the most reluctant snoozers will find themselves lulled by the repetitive rhythms, as the parent sheep, cat, snake, and fish implore their babies to get some shuteye: “Its time for bed, little sheep, little sheep, / The whole wide world is going to sleep.” Dyers watercolor illustrations are bucolic and beautiful. A sweet, soothing lullaby.

Synopsis:

At the end of the day, darkness is falling and little ones are getting sleepy, feeling cozy, and being tucked into bed. (Baby/Preschool)

Synopsis:

Darkness is falling everywhere and little ones are getting sleepy, feeling cozy, and being tucked in. Its time for a wide yawn, a big hug, and a snuggle under the covers--sleep tight! “Working beautifully with the soothingly repetitive text, each painting conveys a warm feeling of safety and affection.”--School Library Journal

This has been a favorite bedtime story in our house for almost 5 years now. We are starting to gift it to every friend having a baby because we love it so much! The rhyme and sentiment are wonderful!
