What every woman knows...

The top three signs your day isn't going well:

#3) Bad weather

#2) Bad breath

and the #1 sign that your day is going to just plain stink

Bad hair

Jolene Hadley Corbett believes in the power of a good hair day, but on a bad hair day terrible things happen — men run off, cars break down, and the skies open up all over your new favorite outfit. So when Ry O'Malley comes riding back into the town of Verbena, North Carolina, Jolene immediately checks the mirror. Yep, just as she suspects — bad hair!

The O'Malley heir apparent — taller, handsomer and a lot sexier than anyoneremembers — is determined to knock the whole town on its ear by demolishing his inheritance: the South Winds Trav'O'Tel and All Day Breakfast Buffet. Okay, soit's not a luxury resort, but its destruction would wreck the local economy...not to mention that antacid sales at the drugstore would probably drop considerably.

Jolene's not about to let a man who once pulled off the top of her bathing suit (okay, even though she was fourteen and she was in the pool) get away with this.So she gears up for the final chapter of the long-running O'Malley-Hadley feud. But first, she's got to find that can of hairspray...

Synopsis:

Jolene Hadley Corbett is delighted when Ry O'Malley returns to Olivette, Georgia, because she will finally get the opportunity to get her revenge on him for embarrassing her in front of half the town years before.

Jolene Hadley Corbett believes that on a bad hair day bad things happen–men run off, cars break down, it rains all over your best new outfit. So when Ry O'Malley comes back into town Jolene immediately checks the mirror. Yep, bad hair!

Of course, there's also that generations old Corbett/O'Malley feud––sort of like a poor man's Hatfield/McCoy feud. It's the biggest tourist draw in Verbena, Georgia––bigger than the AE Hadley Auto Garage and Museum...huger than the Every Other Sunday Flea Market and Jamboree...more monster than the Southwinds Trav'O'Tel and All Day Breakfast Buffet (the cause of indigestion in three counties!)

Jolene's not about to let a man who once pulled off the top of her bathing suit (OK she was 14 and in the pool...but still!) get away with messing up her well–conditioned world. So she gears up for the final chapter in the O'Malley–Hadley feud. She expects to win...But first, she's got to find that can of hairspray.

About the Author

Annie Flannigan recently relocated from Missouri to Kentucky with her husband, two children, two dogs, and way too much stuff! She feels especially qualified to write a book about love, loyalty, and the intense personal relationship between a woman and her " 'do" because the constraints in her own life have always been family, writing...and bad hair!
