October 1942. At a secret rendezvous point off the coast of neutral Argentina, a small merchant ship delivers supplies to Nazi submarines and raiders. The OSS is deternined to sabotage the operation by any means necessary. But one of the key saboteurs they've enlisted--a young U.S Marine--must fight his own private battle between duty and honor. Honor Bound is a terrific read. It is by W.E.B. Griffin but I would like to comment on Powell's Books. Honor Bound in hard back happen to be the one that I just could not find anywhere, either when it was published or later. I had moved to Portland from New Mexico recently and a work-mate mention Powell's Books as a super place for books, magazines, and all sorts of great stuff. I went to the store and was indeed mightily impressed. So, getting back to the book; I finally searched for it on Powell's Books website, powells.com, and there it was. I ordered it and went to pick it up a couple of days later. This was a used book but it was in like-new condition. Imagine my surprise! Again, Powell's Books impressed the heck out of me. Since then I've become a pretty dedicated fan Powell's Books and drop in several times a month now. Powell's Books is a great place but don't just take my word for it: go there!
