During the Republican convention, Modern Humorist produced a wildly successful series, "George W. Bush's Diary" — written and drawn in the style of a third-grader's class assignment. My First Presidentiary takes off from that, adding the people, events, and screwups that have put their stamp on The Great Pronunciator's rise to power.

Highlights include Dubya's correspondence with his young Mexican penpal, Hector, White House redecorating schemes (a NASCAR motif for the Lincoln Bedroom?), and the deal with Cuba to trade the Florida Keys for three left-handed starters and a closer. Along the way, George receives help from key figures like Dick Cheney, Colin Powell, and Alan Greenspan in the form of hilarious "corrections."

America had a pretty rough time creating this Presidency — now it's time to laugh at the results.
