This book is fantastic, please read it! The tale of a unsatisfied married women who seeks passion in her dried up life falls deeply in lust with a patient in an asylum. As the tale unfolds we watch her struggle with her own sanity and gasp as she frequently blurs the line of sanity/insanity for us. A story of lost love and rekindled passion is what 'Asylum' contributes to the reader, with a unexpected twist unfolding at the end...A compelling and highly gripping novel with the greatest reccommendations.
(It has also been turned into a fantastic movie starring Natasha Richardson and Sir Ian McKellen).
