Wicked stepmother? Check. Evil stepsisters? Check. Miserable life? Check.

Lucy Nortons life has all the makings of a Cinderella story. Her dads always away on business, leaving Lucy with her cruel stepmother and bratty stepsisters. Shes burdened with chores, and has a hard time fitting in at her new school. So when she sees Connor Pearson, the star player on the varsity basketball team, Lucy hopes her destiny has finally changed. With everything else going on in her life, doesnt she at least deserve to get the handsome prince?

Melissa Kantors enchanting novel proves that sometimes the happy ending isnt quite the one youd expect. Lucys about to discover the truth about finding her real Prince Charming… and finding herself.

All girls want that Prince Charming to come and sweep them off their feet. Even if they wear red chuck taylors or toss a basketball. Lucy learns that not every prince is the right one. She learns not to judge people, when she may not know the truth. Lucy faces tough issuses of her dad remarrying and forcing her out of her home. To any child, a step parent could seem like a villian to them. It just taskes understanding and love to find out what lies underneath.
This book proves not everything is as it seems, and even a happily ever after could be changed. Understanding and love are the main conponents for this amazing tale. The depth of this book, lined with it's humor and compassion, will make a great book for any girl in need of a fairy tale.
