Publisher Comments:

Hina is an innocent young schoolgirl, straightforward and honest with her feelings. When a new neighbor moves in next door, she is instantly drawn to him, although he seems to be aloof. The next day at school, her new neighbor turns out to be her new substitute teacher, Aso Shiro. His presence creates a commotion at the all-girls school.

Hina likes the simple things in life — holding hands, hugging cats, walking home together, etc. And being able to experience these things with Aso fills Hina with a warm fuzzy feeling — is this love?

When Hina gets a crush on the new teacher, the older man seems to take an interest in her as well. Is it a forbidden love or something else?

About the Author

What is CLAMP?

CLAMP is the four-woman manga studio that creates the world's most popular manga. For the past 15 years they have worked non-stop, creating everything from the adorable shojo (girls comic) hit Cardcaptor Sakura, to the dark and brooding Tokyo Babylon, to the sci-fi romantic comedy Chobits. Currently they are working on four series: Legal Drug, X, Tsubasa: Resevoir Chronicle and xxxHolic. The group also has a close relationship with anime studio Madhouse, which has adapted most of CLAMP's manga into equally successful anime.

2004 marks the team's 15th anniversary, and to celebrate they are working on a retrospective collection called CLAMP no Kiseki, available from TOKYOPOP in 2005.

Series Description

Hinata Asahi is a high school student who lives alone with only her teddy bears to keep her company. Her life becomes much more exciting when the handsome Shirou Asou, moves in next door — not only is he really cute (even if much older), but he's also her new teacher! Hina has a bit of a crush on Asou-sensei, but when the older man seems to take an interest in her as well, is it a forbidden love or something else?

Originally published in Japan as Suki Dakara Suki, this is more CLAMP goodness for every collector!
