About the Author
Vic Nanda is a Process Improvement Manager, Broadband Mobility Solutions IT, with Motorola. He has over 13 years experience in the software and IT industry, including software development, system testing, and software quality assurance. Vic has extensive experience with Digital Six Sigma (DSS), SEI Capability Maturity Model (CMMi), IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), TL9000, and ISO9000. Vic is the author of the books Quality Management System Handbook for Product Development Companies (CRC Press), and ISO 9001 - Achieving Compliance and Continuous Improvement in Software Development Companies (ASQ Quality Press).
Vic is a member of the Editorial Boards of the Software Quality Professional Journal and the International Journal of Performability Engineering; member of the reviewer board for IEEE Software magazine and ASQ Quality Press; and a member of the ASQ National Awards Committee. He is a Certified ISO 9000 Lead Auditor, Certified Manager of Quality/Organization Excellence (CMQ/OE), Certified Quality Auditor (CQA), Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), ITIL Foundations Certified, and Six Sigma Black Belt. Jeffrey Robinson, Ph.D. is a Master Black Belt and ITIL Program Manager, with American Express. Dr. Robinson is an IT technologist who has worked in Software Development and Computer Integrated Manufacturing for more than 20 years. He is also a CMM/CMMI assessor and Malcolm Baldrige Quality Assessor.
Dr. Robinson has been teaching graduate and undergraduate courses for over 20 years and has developed and taught numerous technology courses in computer science, programming, operating systems, quantitative statistics, database management, decision theory, project management, organizational design, and statistics. He is a frequent lecturer and an author and holds four software patents in manufacturing control theory.
