Ive read several of his books, very scholarly and precise. He is one of only a few authors that is able to discuss the works of St.Thomas Aquinos, a contemporary of Dante. St. Thomas has contributed greatly to western thought and theology. In history he stands with the likes of St. Augustine, Jerome, and Gregory the Great. There are volumes published every day on the subject of God, but it is rare (especially today) that the reader finds the writer who knows his subject. Im not talking about the bible..The number of writers that have read the bible continuously and developed their own philosohy is legion. Those writers who have studied the writings of the early church fathers and have expanded on what has always been received is by far less. But even rarer is the writer that knows his subject, God.
