Like everything I've read thus far by P.D. James, this one was excellent. I must admit, I am a newcomer to her work. I did notice one thing about this book that was repeated in an earlier work: In Original Sin, there is a minor character, an older lady, who lives with another lady about her age. This is a repeat from A Mind to Murder whose Sister Ambrose lives with another nurse. I don't think this is a flaw. It is an interesting situation and gives the character an interesting way to get her feelings out without the narrator simply prying into her mind and revealing what he sees.
