About the Author

Sharon Draper lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she taught high school English for twenty-five years. She has been active in the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), is board certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, and was named National Teacher of the Year in 1997. Her books include Tears of a Tiger, Forged by Fire (winner of the 1998 Coretta Scott King Award), Romiette and Julio, and Darkness Before Dawn.

i love this book so much that i read it ever year duruing june on my b-day and when i go camping on my church im doing projects about this book ever year that my teachers told me when to do and i always pick this book no matter what i ven reading this book when my mom give it to me it was on chrismas i think it was on dicember. i will always love this book beacause i love too do also double dutch with friends and family and i always the winer hahaha love this book read it pleas thank you gracias.
