About the Author

David W. Beskeen has authored or co-authored numerous computer books since 1992, including over 25 titles for Course Technology. Subjects that David has written on in his career include PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, Outlook, Windows, Livemotion, and other proprietary software packages. David also has some teaching and consulting experience in the computer technology field. A prolific, best-selling author, Carol M. Cram has written more than 35 textbooks covering computer applications, business communications, and Internet-related subjects. Ms. Cram is also a long-time faculty member at Capilano College in North Vancouver, where she currently serves as the Convenor of the Executive Support Program, the Program Consultant for Business and Computers in Continuing Education, and an instructor of business and computer-related courses. Jennifer Duffy has written for Course Technology for more than a decade and her accomplishments include four editions of MICROSOFT WORD ILLUSTRATED for the popular Office series. A successful freelance writer, Ms. Duffy lives and works in New Hampshire. In addition to authoring technology texts, she has worked in the business world as a writer, editor, and public relations liaison. Ms. Duffy combines her varied business knowledge and expertise in Word with her prolific writing skills to ensure this book is an exceptional resource for today's students. Lisa Friedrichsen is a Professor at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kansas, where she teaches database and Web-related classes. As an author, she has written several prominent Access, Office, and Web-related textbooks. Ms. Friedrichsen combines her ability to teach with extensive hands-on experience in computer technology, where she has developed many relational database systems in the fields of marketing, healthcare, and education. Lynn Wermers is a professor and the chair of the Computer Science Department at North Shore Community College in Massachusetts.
