In dieser Studie wird die damit in Gang gebrachte allmähliche Verankerung kapitalistischer Rationalitätsprinzipien, Praktiken und Werte im Hörfunk nachgezeichnet, die zur letztendlichen Durchbrechung der diskursiven Kontrolle der SED und zur Aushöhlung ihrer politischen und kulturellen Legitmität führte. Es soll somit in dieser Studie sichtbar werden, wie populäre Musik zur Auflösung der DDR beitrug.
