Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Moka is a good dog. But when Michelle, his little girl, reads him a book about wolves, being a good dog suddenly seems awfully boring. Wolves get to run around doing whatever they want. No one ever makes a wolf dress up for a tea party.

So Moka decides to run away to the wild. But what will happen when the real wolves show up?

For any kid who's tired of being good, Moka's antics will be a vicarious treat.

Review:

"Thanks to excellent pacing, children will get caught up in the childlike Moka's emotions." Booklist

Review:

"Children will howl with delight when they meet this engaging pup." School Library Journal

Review:

"Kasza's simple story and expressive watercolor and ink illustrations are spot-on....In the end, this tale of home and comfort will make everyone sigh with happiness." Kirkus Reviews

Review:

"Humorous, expressive illustrations accompany the silly story." Hornbook Guide to Children

The best book I read this year is The Dog Who Cried Wolf!
It is about a dog who reads a book about wolves! He runs away to be a wolf! He chased a rabbit! He got sprayed by a skunk. He howled at the moon "haoooooooooooooooooo!" but then he saw a real wolf then he ran home.
You should never run away from home! The dog missed his family and he learned it's better to be yourself!
I liked the pictures! Then the dog and the girl read a book about monkeys, I can't wait for the next book!

My name is Anthony I am in 2nd grade. My mom helped me post this message.
