A profound book in its own right, it is also important reading for anyone who is a fan of C. S. Lewis, especially those who have read his A Grief Observed about his own loss of Joy Gresham. The author of this book had a mentor-mentee relationship with Lewis, and went through a loss of his own. Highly recommended

A severe mercy is a Fantastic book. Sheldon VanAuken sucks you into the book in a way that you are really in Glenmerle, you are feeling his feelings and
Experiencing his emotions. You'll fall in love with Davy!! A real life love story I read over and over again. I get to experience different parts of the world I've never been to in his book. Incredible. My favorite book by far. Impatiently awaiting to read his sequel, Under the Mercy.
