Publisher Comments:

Jean Liedloff, an American writer, spent two and a half years in the South American jungle living with Stone Age Indians. The experience demolished her Western preconceptions of how we should live and led her to a radically different view of what human nature really is. She offers a new understanding of how we have lost much of our natural well-being and shows us practical ways to regain it for our children and for ourselves.

This book is a must for everyone considering becoming a parent. We read it before having our child and now 11 years later realize how much we have put her concepts into practice and how fruitful they have been. This book validates so much of what we feel to be human, feelings that our culture often doesn't validate. We've passed it along to many more expecting parents and have received nothing but thanks in return. Enjoy!
