I can't help wondering why the author didn't bother to investigate or verify facts before publishing this book. In Chapter 8 McMurray claims that Holly and Sandy were "taken to the 1,400-inmate-capacity Chatham County Jail in Savannah, which had a juvenile facility within it's walls". I'm sure the warden at that facility would be surprised to find out he holds juveniles, and I hope he doesn't spend much time hunting for it, since it doesn't exist. Sandy and Holly were taken to the 100-bed Savannah Regional Youth Detention Center, where all detained juveniles are housed. McMurray also notes several employees of the actual facility, and he even got one correct. Brenda Washington was a Lieutenant at that time. June Stewart, Master's Level Social Service Provider, was surprised to find herself promoted to "prison psychologist", and Carlitha Givens, also a Master's Level Social Service Provider, thought "prison analyst" sounded rather insulting since she does not work in a prison and does not analyze the juveniles. What both females did was complete the standard assessment completed on all juveniles admitted to the facility. I have to wonder, if this chapter was that incorrect, where and how did he come up with the information for the rest of the book?
