First in the all-new Cousins Oand#8217;Dwyer Trilogy

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts comes a trilogy about the land weand#8217;re drawn to, the family we learn to cherish, and the people we long to loveand#133;

With indifferent parents, Iona Sheehan grew up craving devotion and acceptance. From her maternal grandmother, she learned where to find both: a land of lush forests, dazzling lakes, and centuries-old legends.

Ireland.

County Mayo, to be exact. Where her ancestorsand#8217; blood and magic have flowed through generationsand#151;and where her destiny awaits.

Iona arrives in Ireland with nothing but her Nanand#8217;s directions, an unfailingly optimistic attitude, and an innate talent with horses. Not far from the luxurious castle where she is spending a week, she finds her cousins, Branna and Connor Oand#8217;Dwyer. And since family is family, they invite her into their home and their lives.

When Iona lands a job at the local stables, she meets the owner, Boyle McGrath. Cowboy, pirate, wild tribal horsemen, heand#8217;s three of her biggest fantasy weaknesses all in one big, bold package.

Iona realizes that here she can make a home for herselfand#151;and live her life as she wants, even if that means falling head over heels for Boyle. But nothing is as it seems. An ancient evil has wound its way around Ionaand#8217;s family tree and must be defeated. Family and friends will fight with each other and for each other to keep the promise of hopeand#151;and loveand#151;aliveand#133;

Review:

"Roberts' newest addition to her enormous body of work (after The Next Always: Book One of the Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy) fails to uphold the dictum that practice makes perfect — or at least makes better. Though Roberts has authored over 200 books, this second installment in the Inn BoonsBoro Trilogy falls flat. Owen Montgomery is responsible for seeing to it that the titular inn — recently restored by Owen and his brothers, Beckett and Ryder — opens on time. But then again, he wasn't planning on being sidetracked, especially by an old flame. Avery McTavish claims Owen as her first boyfriend, no matter that she was five years old at the time. Now Owen is determined to rekindle their love and make sure he's the last boyfriend she ever has. Helped along by the Inn's resident ghost, Owen's plan may work out in his favor, but a contrived plot and clinical romance leaves readers plodding along without excitement or seduction. Redeemed only by the mature manner in which the main characters handle their problems, this book is best left for the die-hard Roberts fans. (May)" Publishers Weekly Copyright PWxyz, LLC. Synopsis:

#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts introduces you to the Montgomery brothersand#151;Beckett, Ryder, and Owenand#151;as they bring an intimate bed-and-breakfast to life in their hometown.

Owen is the organizer of the Montgomery clan, running the familyand#8217;s construction business with an iron fistand#151;and an even less flexible spreadsheet. And though his brothers bust on his compulsive list-making, the Inn BoonsBoro is about to open right on schedule. The only thing Owen didnand#8217;t plan for was Avery MacTavish...

Averyand#8217;s popular pizza place is right across the street from the inn, giving her a firsthand look at its amazing renovationand#151;and a newfound appreciation for Owen. Since he was her first boyfriend when they were kids, Owen has never been far from Averyand#8217;s thoughts. But the attraction sheand#8217;s feeling for him now is far from innocent.

As Avery and Owen cautiously take their relationship to another level, the opening of the inn gives the whole town of Boonsboro a reason to celebrate. But Owenand#8217;s hard work has only begun. Getting Avery to let down her guard is going to take longer than he expectedand#151;and so will getting her to realize that her first boyfriend is going to be her lastand#133;
