Deathwatch is an extremely exciting, riveting book. The main character Ben, is hired by a man named Madec as a hunting guide. Madec is hunting for big horn sheep in the Southwest. Ben doesn't like Madec, and isn't looking forward to the trip. However Madec pays well and Ben needs the money for his next year of college. Something goes wrong during the hunt and Ben ends up in a fight for survival against Madec. The author uses vivid detail and makes you feel like you're right there in the book. He also creates a lot of suspense. You can't wait to find out what happens next. I highly suggest this book. It was very enjoyable and exciting. This is one of the best books I've ever read. It has challenging vocabulary and a good plot. Deathwatch is a great book.

This is an action and suspense involved story with a well-developed conflict. Robb White always keeps the reader wondering what is going to happen next by foreshadowing and by using cliffhangers throughout the book. You can not put the book down because you want to find out what will happen next. In the amazing book, Deathwatch, Ben is escorting a well-known hunter and business man named Madec. When Madec accidently shoots and kills a homeless prospector instead of a big horned sheep, he wants to leave the body and remain on his hunt. But Ben wants to do the right thing and take the body back to the town. These two characters, are constantly opposing each other. This makes the reader hope for Ben and to despise Madec. Readers who enjoy survival stories and/or adventure stories would love this book because there is never a dull moment.

"Deathatch" by Robb White is a great book. Its full of action and cool twist that change the whole plot. The author of this book was so discriptive that I could picture myself in the character's shoes. Madec, the villian in this story is a criminal master mind, as when Ben (main character) is just trying to survive. I suggest this book for everyone, but it might be hard to understand for younger kids. This book has many themes but the main one that sticks out to me is honor, because of what happens in the end.
