Raven's Shadow

by

Raven's Shadow Cover

Staff Pick

I find that Patricia Briggs writes believable characters that you really care about. Raven's Shadow is peopled with a race called Travelers. Like their name indicates, they are transient, traveling in small clans. Amongst the Travelers, once in a while, children are born gifted with a Magic Order. The Gifted Orders are Raven (mage), Falcon (hunter), Owl (bard), Eagle (guardian), Cormorant (weather witch), and Meadow Lark (healer). Seraph, a Raven, believes that her husband Tier is dead until her sons Jes and Lehr go to the site of the "accident" and discover the truth: Tier was abducted! Seraph and her sons join up with a group of travelers in hopes of reuniting the family.
