Review:

"God Empereor of Duneseizes the glittering loose ends of empire, ecology and mysticism and weaves them together into a seamless, brilliant tapestry of a human ecology evolving to transcend worlds and time." Baltimore Sun

About the Author

Frank Herbert (1920-1986) created the most beloved novel in the annals of science fiction, Dune. He was a man of many facets, of countless passageways that ran through an intricate mind. His magnum opus is a reflection of this, a classic work that stands as one of the most complex, multi-layered novels ever written in any genre. Today the novel is more popular than ever, with new readers continually discovering it and telling their friends to pick up a copy. It has been translated into dozens of languages and has sold almost 20 million copies.

If you struggled through this book the first time, I highly recommend giving it a second read. I might have rated it a 2 or 3 after the first time I read it, but now I give it a 4. It's still not my favorite book of the series, but I appreciate it and understand it more than I did before. On my second reading of the series, I was reluctant to read this one. On my third reading, sometime in the future, I will look forward to reading it.
