Publisher Comments:

Building upon the success so many parents experience with Babywise (establishing regular sleeping patterns in children before the age of eight weeks), Babywise II helps moms and dads add a new dimension to their babies' day: the establishment of right learning patterns. Learning patterns ultimately affect the way a child manages instructions, directions, correction, limitations, freedoms, and new and growing relationships. That's why it is critical that the first patterns be the right patterns. It is crucial that babies develop the skills they need for the next important stage of development: 14 to 40 months-and now parents can proactively help their children with the valuable, practical wisdom in Babywise II.

This book is a MUST for all new parents - it helps moms and dads alike get their new little one's internal body clock set to the right times! This book offers many suggestions for how to do this...I guess you would call it a book that falls in the camp of Scheduling Your Baby...However, like everything else - you read it and take what you want from it and go from there. Use your discretion with what will work best for you and your family. Some people find this to be a horrific idea - that you would "schedule" your baby - but the alternative is a chaotic lifestyle for babies and their families. It is far less rigid and rigorous than the protestors of this idea believe it to be.
I used this book and had a baby sleeping through the night (8 hours) by 10 weeks...not to mention, she is totally a flexible sleeper, eater and "player". I would highly reccomend this book for new parents.
