Robert Munsch is the author of more than 25 books for children including The Paper Bag Princess and Stephanie's Ponytail. He lives in Guelph, Ontario.

Sheila McGraw has illustrated six children's books, including the best-selling I Promise I'll Find You and has written children's and adult craft books Papier Machier for Kids and Painting and Decorating Furniture.

To this day, as my son is off to grad school, I cannot read this book without crying - just the way I did about 20 yrs ago as I read it to that same little boy. What a timeless and beautiful book.

My mother read this book to me when I was a little girl and I have never forgot the words and how my mom would cry. I loved this book and every thing it stood for.

This is an amazing book. I always buy this book for the families I nanny. It makes me smile. It makes me cry. May all families feel and show love for one another like the characters in this book do.
