Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

This book spreads its energy and passion with very little help. Introduce it to your readers and they'll turn a brushfire into a firestorm. Fueled by characters they don't want to leave and a story they don't want to end, readers have overwhelmingly acclaimed this contemporary Montana novel.

This was the hands down best pick for our book group in 2006. We all loved it and that says a lot we have very diverse tastes in literature. I fell in love with the main character and his grandmother and learned way more than I thought I wanted to know about basketball. The insights to small western town life were spot on. Highly recommended!
