Synopses & Reviews

Synopsis:

The fifteen stories in this collection revolve around a helpless and innocent populace lost somewhere between the fleeting, disorienting terrors of childhood and the claustrophobic epochs of anxiety that follow. As the days and weeks just sort of happen to each other, their little worlds carry the intimacy of a shared heartbreak, lingering like the tremors of a never forgotten bad dream. A kind of subconscious looking glass to the isolation and disquiet of the modern individual, Please Don't Leave Me is a vision of hell both banal and uniquely macabre.

Originally published in 2008, this second edition is completely revised and contains three additional stories new to the collection.
