If you are tired of superheroes or are just trying something different than your basic novels...START HERE! Far and wide one of the most popular graphic novels in history. Smart. Funny full of black humor. Sick and grisly. Silly and touching. Garth Ennis finally perfected his trade with these characters and this storyline. If you are curious enough to read reviews on graphic novels, you won't be disappointed with this one. Start at the first book don't stop til the last page of the last one.

This is a collection of the Preacher "specials," and thus features mostly secondary characters. It's good, but I didn't enjoy it as much as the collections that follow the main storyline. The story of the Saint of Killers gets four stars, and the rest gets three.
