Matt Hurwitz is a prolific entertainment journalist, having written for Daily Variety, Washington Post, Hollywood Reporter, Directors Guild of America Magazine, International Cinematographers Guild Magazine, Videography, Digital Cinematography Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, Emmy, American Cinematographer, Mix, Wired, and Fade In to name a few. Chris Carter is the creator and executive producer of "The X-Files." Carter started Ten Thirteen Productions with a concept for "The X-Files" that he developed as a synthesis of urban myths, conspiracy theory, and stories of extra-terrestrial abduction. "The X-Files" was picked up by Fox and remained a hit primetime evening show from 1993 to 2002. "The X-Files" inspired a 1998 movie version written and produced by Carter, video games, and multiple network spin-offs. I am a HUGE X-Files fan, however while this book is beautiful and informative it seems rushed and somewhat unfinished. There are multiple typos, incorrect information and could have used more photos from the series and behind the scenes. If it weren't for these silly mistakes I would have given the book 5 stars. This, however, is the most complete X-Files book I have seen and would recommend it to any X-Files fan, but you might want to wait and buy it used or wait until the $50 price tag goes down.
