Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

When a stranger arrives in the Bahamas, the locals barely turn their heads, seeing another ex-pat with money to burn at the casino tables. But James Bond has more than money on his mind; he's got less than a week to find two stolen atom bombs hidden among the coral reefs. While acting the playboy, Bond meets Domino, sultry plaything of secretive treasure hunter Emilio Largo. In getting close to this gorgeous Italian girl, Bond hopes to learn more about Largo's hidden operation.

Review:

"Though a bit dated, the Bond outings are still fun reads-great beach books-and the character is still immensely popular on screen, so these are well worth having." Library Journal

Synopsis:

Available for a new generation, the original James Bond adventure is presented in a classic, eye-catching package.

Thunderball- Prior to being sent on his mission to track down 2 stolen atom bombs, Bond is nearly killed at a health spa. Little does Bond realize that the revenge he exacts for this is only the beginning of the assignment that will threaten to destroy him. Ernst Blofeld & SPECTRE are back & testing the limits of Bond's endurance.
With great lines such as,"Bond staggered over to the bed & knelt beside it.. The small head on the pillow turned towards him. A hand came out & grasped his hair, pulling his head closer to her. Her voice said huskily, 'You are to stay here. Do you understand?' When he didn't answer, she feebly shook his head to & fro. She felt Bond's body slipping to the floor. He was asleep. She let go of his hair."
