Publisher Comments:

This tongue-in-cheek miscellany of the most bizarre offenses committed in Britain, the peculiar punishments that have been meted out here through the ages, and a variety of badly bungled crimes, is shocking, absurd, and amusing in equal measure. Also featuring a plethora of acts that are still considered arrestable offences today, due to local laws that have never been repealed, this quirky volume takes a witty look at comical criminality through history up until the present day. An ideal gift book that will make you laugh out loud.

Bought this almost by chance and it is genuinely brilliant!! Really, really funny. Love the stories - there must be about 350/400. The man who handed himself in for the reward money is priceless! A great gift book - but read it first. It is so much better written - and funny throughout - than most humor titles.
