The return of the true Paleo diet with 250 enticing recipes that prove following The Paleo Diet is as delicious, inventive, and inspiring as it is healthy

Itandrsquo;s officialandmdash;the real Paleo Diet is back. Loved for its simplicity, health benefits, and because it really works, the diet has been widely imitated since its release. Yet no one knows this plan better than Loren Cordain, its creator. As an expert in evolutionary medicine, Cordain realized we had moved away from the foods we were designed to eatandmdash;lean proteins, fruits, and vegetablesandmdash;while modern staples such as sugar, salt, and carbohydrates were creating a host of 21st-century health issues, including obesity and heart disease. By eating the right food, people are healthier. But can eating Paleo be tasty?

In this all-new cookbook with 250 recipes and 75 photos, Cordain makes eating Paleo a pleasure, not a burden. Ranging from Cucumber Aquaand#160;Fresca to Fruit-Stuffed Topand#160;Loin Roast with Brandy Sauce, the recipes satisfy even the most finicky. This is the book the Paleo community has been waiting forandmdash;scientific accuracy combined with great taste.

About the Author

Melissa Joulwan is the author of Well Fed: Paleo Recipes For People Who Love To Eat, as well as Living Paleo for Dummies (Wiley) and the popular paleo recipe and lifestyle blog The Clothes Make The Girl (http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com), winner of the 2012 "Best Healthy Cooking Blog" from TheKitchn.com. She is also the author of the memoir Rollergirl: Totally True Tales From The Track (Touchstone).

Melissa is a member of the Community Ambassador program for Experience Life magazine and is frequent guest blogger for ExperienceLife.com. An experienced public speaker, she has presented at the PaleoFX conference, regularly teaches cooking classes at Whole Foods Culinary Center, and is a speaker at gyms/health facilities on adopting the paleo lifestyle.

Melissa has been a follower and a strong advocate for the Paleo diet since 2009. After a thyroidectomy that year, she became particularly interested in how diet affects hormones, body composition, mood, motivation, and athletic performance. These days, her workouts are just as likely to include yoga and meditation, as lifting heavy things, sprinting, and trying to stay ahead of the CrossFit stopwatch. She lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband Dave and their cat Smudge.
