Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Watch seeds grow right before your eyes! Readers can follow the fun clues and guess what delicious fruits will grow from each seed. With a lift of each foldout flap, kids can watch the seeds take root in the soil, sprout from the ground, and finally, make the fruits we love to eat! A tomato seed grows ripe tomatoes, an orange seed grows juicy oranges, a pea seed grows crunchy pea pods, a pepper seed grows shiny bell peppers, and blueberry seeds grow plump blueberries. andlt;BRandgt;andlt;BRandgt; Each cardstock page of this book folds out into a large 14" x 14" inch page that reveals a child enjoying the healthy and delicious fruits of the seeds.

About the Author

andlt;bandgt;Tildeandlt;/bandgt; studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design, but her journey in photography began much earlier. As a toddler of a professional photographer, she was often stagged in tutus or with a finger in the nose. Growing older, she helped lug equipment to places like Tijuana, where her father was basing a childrenand#8217;s book. Then in her teens she completed several photojournalism assignments abroad of her own, through childrenand#8217;s organizations such as Compassion and other orphan relief agencies. andlt;bandgt;andlt;iandgt; My First Ballet Classandlt;/iandgt;andlt;/bandgt; is her third childrenand#8217;s book to photograph. Her own experiences as a child model have taught her that you canand#8217;t capture the magic of childhood unless the subjects are free to truly be themselves.
