Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Once a simple student, Karigan G'ladheon finds herself in a world of deadly danger and complex magic, compelled by forces she cannot understand when she becomes a legendary Green Rider-one of the magical messengers of the king. Forced by magic to accept a dangerous fate she would never have chosen, headstrong Karigan has become completely devoted to the king and her fellow Riders.

But now, an insurrection led by dark magicians threatens to break the boundaries of ancient, evil Blackveil Forest — releasing powerful dark magics that have been shut away for a millennium.

Review:

“Karigan’s adventures, full of strange and deadly encounters, provide [Blackveil's] core....With characters you care about, touches of complicated romance, and some wonderfully weird developments (vampire hummingbirds!), this is a hard-to-put-down adventure.” Locus

Review:

"Kristen Britain’s Blackveil has everything that Green Rider fans could hope for, including romance, adventure, humor, time travel, dark magic, entertaining drama, ghosts, prophetic visions, and much more." Fantasy Book Critic

Review:

"The latest Kariagan epic fantasy is a terrific entry loaded with subplots that provide the reader with both the big picture of the world of Kristin Britain and the small scale happenings that impact the larger scope.... With a strong diverse cast (a trademark of Ms. Britain), fans will welcome the return to Sacoridia." Midwest Book Review
