This book was hard to put down. It really brought me back in time and made me feel like it was all happening in front of me.

It's better than Snow Flower and The Secret Fan....easy way to learn about history. I think students would enjoy it too.

I have passed this along to all of my friends. Lisa See writes an engaging tale mixing historical fact with unusual story lines.
