Synopses & Reviews

Publisher Comments:

Toxic Plants of North America, Second Edition is a fully updated reference for both wild and domestic toxic plants on the North American continent. The new edition covers both animal and human intoxications, including plant morphology and distribution, associated disease problems, toxicants and their mechanisms of action, clinical signs and pathologic changes of intoxications, and treatment approaches. Updates from the previous edition include color images throughout, coverage of new species, and revisions in the classification and nomenclature of the genera and species to reflect recent taxonomic changes.

Toxic Plants of North America, Second Edition proves an exhaustive, essential resource for veterinarians, toxicologists, agricultural-extension agents, animal scientists, and poison control professionals.
