All agree that "The Sefer Yetzirah:The Book of Creation" is the oldest text of Kabbalah. Rabbi Aryeh Kaplan performed a yeoman job in producing this scholarly yet readible annotated translation of Rabbi Eliahu of Vilna's edition of this mysterious work [Rabbi Kaplan also provides a translation of three other editions: Shorter Version, Longer Version and Saadia Gaon's Version]. Includes extensive notes and index.

Ahryeh Kaplan translates the eloquence and the poetry of this mystical book very well, and his interpretations are amazing. A must-read for the more advanced Kabbalah student.
