Publisher Comments:

Some ball players are remembered for their home runs and great plays--but imagine being famous for blowing the game. Offering play-by-play descriptions of the games, historical trivia, and lifetime statistics of key players, this book shows how life goes on even after the worst moments--and how a little mistake can sometimes make a very big difference. This little book is a wonderful gift for any baseball fan or player, but especially for longtime baseball fans. The entries go into detailed descriptions of the "bloopers" and how they affected the game and even the players' lives. Although most of the "bloopers" are mistakes by players, the author also explains how some of the mistakes were caused by opposing players being aware of the rules of the game to an extant they could make good use of them when the chance arose.
