Serious about drawing. This is the book for you. This is a reprint from a book circa 1890. This is the way artists used to be trained before modern art came along and ruined everything for a generation of artists. You will need either personal instruction from a classically trained artist or to go to an Atelier to get the full benefit of this book. But if you look on the internet you will find the resources to learn to draw from this book.

The only drawback is that because of the historical value and quality of this book it is expensive and though well worth the price the beginning artist may not have the resources to plunk down almost $100 or more for the hardback version. Because this book is a keeper it is unlikely the market will be flooded with used copies. I recommend getting the hardback version if you can, and the soft cover just to get ahold of this gem.
