Publisher Comments:

Made up of interviews with 20 sisters living happy and replete lives, this collection seeks to shatter the stereotypical image that people have of nuns in order to show both believers and nonbelievers the diversity and richness of their lives. A recurring theme in the collected conversations is the profound desire that has led them to this choice of a religious life. Alleging that for a long time nuns have remained hidden behind priests and the walls of convents, this book purports to end the silence surrounding the experience of women within the Church.
