So i was in a 'green fairy' daze and I was stumbling along Rue Gertrude-- that's what i called it. The street where that lady from America lived with that other lady and her brother sometimes not the lady who lived with the lady who lived with her brother but the lady who i named the street after where her house her brother was, where the big shot painters would hang up on the walls while hanging out on the couches and chairs not that they were big shots yet but some little guys named Picasso and then there was Mr. Matisse and the Mrs were there. So I would sometimes stupor my drunkenness crumpled up like a piece of ill-begotten canvas or bad writing put to paper to trash basket and missed and fell to the floor, in a corner of the courtyard and doze to the mummer of modern art as the tink of spoons of sugar going to the coffee cup and clink of wine bottle to wine glass sometimes catching a sparkle of light reflecting it to the paints on the wall that were minor francs that would be major. Then sometimes the cat would wake me up with a french purr.
