Healthy Happy, May 20, 2014 (view all comments by Healthy Happy)
The Robie Harris books are wonderful books that give information on sex in a healthy, age appropriate, and accessible way. I bought the first two for my daughter as she's grown up, and she recently asked me to get her the third -- so that's why I'm here, to buy it for her. I was dismayed to see that the only review so far is a one-start review. Please be aware that right-wing activists and abstinence-only types bash these books, so take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. These books are high quality, from construction to art to content, and they give your child the information they need to feel good about themselves and their bodies. If you have any embarrassment about having the birds and the bees talks with your kids, fear not. These books ease into the topic in a way that is sweet, engaging, easy, and at times comical. But most importantly -- healthy and happy.

Student Teacher, March 20, 2010 (view all comments by Student Teacher)
I saw this book on display in my college library. It was in the children's section that is open to the public. I couldn't even read half of it because I was so embarrassed and uncomfortable. This book is not the right way to teach your kids about the birds and the bees. It shouldn't even be read by adults! It perverts the beauty of sexuality and talks about things that kids don't even need to know. I would consider it a pornographic book. Anyone who reads this book to children should go to jail for child abuse. This book will poison young (and old) minds.
