Jason Thiesfeld, December 28, 2008 (view all comments by Jason Thiesfeld)
I stumbled across the first edition 8 years ago when I was in culinary school. I was on a quest to understand herbs and spices for mixes and general knowledge. Since the first edition I have continued to collect everything Ian Hemphill has put out. I find his knowledge and experience growing up in the world of herbs and spices to be both fascinating and informative.

I have over 300 culinary books and his books are the ones I reach for when I have herb or spice questions.
