The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan is a great book. The book takes place in multiple places because the main characters travel across the globe. The book takes place the present time of 2013. In the book Rick Riordan fuses present time with mythology. The book has multiple point of views because in each chapter a different main character speaks. The main characters are Jason, Percy, Piper, Hazel, Leo, Annabeth, and Frank. In the book they face monsters, beasts, and any other creature your imagination can come up with. In this book they travel across the Atlantic Ocean to reach Rome to fight an evil darkness that lives there. Also in the book Annabeth will have to use her smarts and strength to complete a test that no one has ever completed before. As you read, you will experience romance, hatred, humor, and action. All of this will be in Rick Riordans thrilling novel, The Mark of Athena.
