We first purchased this book & "cassette" back when our 22 year old daughter was in preschool, little did we know we were starting a family tradition! We loved them so much that the original set has had to be retired & new sets brought in. Our 20 year old daughter is reading & listening to Chicka Chicka Boom Boom with her daughter, our 22 year old is now serving our country in Afghanistan & we are reading & listening to Chicka with her daughter. I have gotten sets for ALL 6 of our children, as well as our niece & nephew, and our 3 grandchildren! It's a fun & inovative way to teach the alphabet to young children & something that provides fun for ALL ages:-) I whole-heartedly recommend this book to parents, teachers, homeschoolers, grandparents...just about everyone who likes something a little out of the ordinary & loves to have fun!

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is , without a doubt, one of the best ABC books I have ever come across. As the letters dance their way up the coconut tree and come flying down again, the rollicking rhymes will have both adults and kids laughing at the antics of a normally inanimate alphabet, and the parent-child relationship alluded to between capital and lower-case letters adds a note of sweetness without being overly sappy. The little details in Lois Ehlert?s cutout-style illustrations are great for helping kids identify individual letters (?skinned-knee h,? for example, has a bandage on its ?knee?). Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is a highly-recommended addition (both by me and by my young ?testers?) to any early-childhood library.
