Publisher Comments:

earthgirl follows the eco-evolution of 16-year-old Sabine Solomon. When the driver of an idling minivan tosses her McDonald's leftovers out the window, Sabine is left covered in plum sauce, and the ensuing altercation is captured on video and posted on YouTube. Sabine finds herself at the center of a heated eco-debate, and a crusader is born. Inspired to greater global consciousness, Sabine quits her part-time job at the Gap to work at an organic food co-op where she meets Vray Forest, a charismatic, idealistic musician and eco-warrior. Enthralled with Vray and his ideals, Sabine sets out to change her life and influence others, much to the dismay of her meat-eating family and her shopaholic girlfriends. But when Vray's activism takes a dark turn Sabine must decide how far she'll go to green the world.

Synopsis:

Sabine Solomon undergoes a transformation when she joins the environmental movement and becomes involved with activist Vray Foret, but when his activities involve something that is potentially illegal, she begins to question her identity and values.
