This is indeed the beginning of an amazing adventure. Do not let the length of Hunter's Warriors saga intimidate you; one can consume the saga arc by arc, starting with the original excitement of Into the Wild. Follow Rusty, the protagonist, into his wild journey as he learns what it means to be a true Warrior. Also, do not judge a book by its cover: although this series is about feral cats, various topics such as love, betrayal, coping with death, and fighting for what's right are in abundance in the Warriors series. Hurry and delve into the clans!

INTO THE WILD is the first book in a long, amazing series about clans of feral cats. It is so enjoyable, so hard to put down! If you are going to start on this amazing journey with this first book, I suggest you go back to the map page and to the pages with the cat names and descriptions repeatedly while reading the story. It wioll help you in the long run because there are so many cat characters and it's hard to keep track of them all at first. The more books of the series that you read, the easier it is to keep track of which cats belongs to which clans, but at first it can be a bit overwhelming. Stick to it, though, cuz it's so worth it!
(Erin Hunter, the author, isn't a real person! There's at least two different people that are writing this series. If you look at the 'special thanks to' page, you'll find the +real+ name of the author!)

This book is a great story for almost any age. The way Firepaw trusted Thunderclan to take him in and give him a home. How he uncovered dark secrets and what he through to portect his new family. Anyone can learn a lesson about family, friends, trust and hope from this book. I have this book a few times and it's still amazing each time. It puts the purr in purfect.

by School Library Journal,
"The author has created an intriguing world with an intricate structure and mythology, and an engaging young hero....This is not as elegantly written as Brian Jacques's Redwall series, but it's another option for fans of animal adventure/fantasy stories."
